We purchased HDB flat last August 2014. for whatever reasons, I lost my job last April 2016 and did some commission based jobs. However income is not enough to pay monthly installment and face financial hardship. We want to get back the money we spent for this unit. I am not sure we can sell the unit back to HDB since did not meet MOP yet. May I know how to do? Please give me advice. thank you

Good evening,

I had experienced cases when owner failed to pay the HDB loan for 2 years plus but HDB still refuse to buy back their unit. What HDB can do for you is to restructure the loan so that your monthly installment will be lesser, over a longer period of time.
