What are the basic facilities should be provided to the renters, preferably facilities within a room?
Because my landlord authorised his occupant to manage the rental property and she is renting out a room from his 2 room HDB flat to 4 tenants including myself under S$450/head. In the contract stated that hot water, aircon and charging of gadget is allowed. Tenants are to comply with the house rules but here is a catch, the authorised occupant can make the house rule to her convince anytime anywhere and apply penalties for whom she found not obligated to her rule. She is the king of the house basically.
She will mentally torture the tenants and forcing the tenants into breaking the lease to get them fortieth their security deposit.
Recently she took out the charging points in our rented room and when I confronted her she said she was the landlord this is her house she can do whatever she wants and if I don’t comply I can get out from the house immediately and the deposit will not be returned.
She done these before to the other tenants and there’s no legal way to get back to her unfortunately, she just grew more confident about her acts. She started to mentally abuse me by turning off the ceiling fan and deny me from using it because it will cost her electricity and might spoil the fan she said that even it was smouldering hot in the room. Results were I’ve fainted from the heat quite a few times already and I’m not planning to rent here for any longer.
My question is how do I get back to her probably put her out of business so she will learn to be a decent human again?
