If you are able to show to HDB that your are selling your flat but there is really not taker, you can appeal to HDB for extension. But the selling price MUST BE reasonable.

It depends on the reason you give HDB. As long as there is a valid reason, coupled with some documents that you are in the midst of selling, or buyer placed deposit and has burst the case due to ethnic issues should be fine.Show HDB what they want to see. everything will be worked out
