Afternoon,

Under HDB ruling, owner are required to stay within the unit while renting out the rooms before fulfilling the MOP requirement. You are not eligible to rent out the entire unit based on the same requirement.

Hi, before the MOP (5 years) is up, owner is not allowed to rent out the entire unit and it is deem as illegal.

Hi Sir,

For a 4 room resale flat, you will be able to rent out 2 rooms. However, as an owner, you will need to stay in the unit during the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP). Renting out the Masterbed room with the attached bath and one of the common rooms will be able to fetch you the maximum returns. To enhanced the rental, you may make an effort to furnish the rooms.

Alternatively, you may also appeal to HDB to grant you the permission to rent out the whole unit during the MOP period.
