An applicant n wife want to apply for an EC. Besides their kids, another occupier is the mother-in-law who has a share of-a coffeeshop n a room leading up from the coffeeshop, passed down to her by her late mother. So she, as a occupier, is considered to own a commercial/residential property? Can the the applcant that is, her daughter n son in law be eligible to apply for an EC?

Hi,

You can consider not putting your mother-in-laws as the occupier when applying the new EC, and it will affect the application.

Please do contact me for a non-obligation discussion.
