Asked by
My aunt, an Indonesian businesswoman is interested to buy a house for investment in those so called "cluster housing" or condominiums. Her budget is about S$2.5M to S$3.0M and low-rise houses is her preference. Would it be better to wait until her application for SPR is approved, then purchase a house? Is "cluster housing" also the same as condominiums project? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Dear sir/madam,

Based on your description, your aunt should be eligible to purchase the cluster housing that she likes. It does not matter if she is a SPR or not as long as she is able to secure the loan required or has sufficient funds to support her purchase.

Please call me further to discuss her detailed requirements as I do have several good buy units which may suit her requirements.
