Bought 3-room flat using HDB single grant 2.5 yrs ago thinking I will remain single. Now I want to sell to get bigger unit as me getting married. Wrote to HDB and got rejected, asking me to fulfil min 5 yrs stay. Pls advise how do i go about to purchase a bigger unit as current flat is too small (3-Gen staying together)?

Dear sir/madam,

Regulations are there for a reason therefore since HDB has rejected your appeal to sell prior MOP, perhaps you can speak to your MP about this proposal, since your genuine reason to start a family by getting married is a positive one. Otherwise, there is nothing else you can do since it was already made known to you prior purchasing that MOP to fulfil is 5 years.
