Hi Sir,

Sorry to inform, but you will need to fulfill your 5-year MOP for your HDB flat before you can either purchase another residential property or sell off the HDB flat.

You can try to appeal, but unless you have a very valid reason, you will likely be rejected.

Do take note that you will also be liable for Seller Stamp Duty should you sell off your flat within 3 years.

Good morning Sir,

Sorry to inform you that you need to fulfill 5 years minimum occupation first before you can hold on to your HDB and venture into the private market or sell your existing HDB.

Alternatively you can opt to appeal to HDB to let you sell before MOP but it will be on a case by case basis.

Do take note that seller's stamp duty will be applicable cause you have yet to own the property for at least 3 years.
