If son is occupier only, there may not be any grant. It is best to actually apply for HFE to find out as it will state your eligibility for HDB owership.

Hi,

1) Yes, you are able to do that.
2) However, you have to understand the consequences after doing this.
3) It is true that your son will be considered as 1st timer to apply for a BTO/SBF after meeting the 5 yrs MOP of this flat.
4) You will have to dispose of this flat once he collected the BTO/SBF, as a single PR is not eligible to keep the flat alone, unless there is a change in the policy in future.
5) It is believed that you are not eligible for any grant without a SC as an owner.

Hi

If applying with both as owners, you will be eligible for new flat or resale flat. same for if applying SC son as sole owner, and you the SPR mum as occupier. Assuming all other eligibility conditions met.

If applying with just yourself as owner, SC son occupier, my understanding is you will not be eligible because single SPR cannot be HDB sole owner.

You can call in HDB resale hotline to confirm, or apply HFE letter to find out.
