Dear Property Gurus,
I'm currently a 36-year-old Malaysian, owned a residential property in Malaysia (under my name), in the midst of considering applying for Singapore Citizenship (SC). Assumed the application approved by end of the year:
1) Am I eligible to buy Singles flat (https://www.hdb.gov.sg/residential/buying-a-flat/understanding-your-eligibility-and-housing-loan-options/flat-and-grant-eligibility/singles)? Or I need to dispose/transfer the current Malaysia asset to my parent/siblings, and only able to buy the HDB after 15/30 months depending on which type of HDB flats I'm applying?
2) If I decided to go for private property in Singapore, do I need to be a SC to buy? Or can a singles PR buy? If possible, what's the criteria?
Thanks so much in advance.
