Hi all.. i aquired my hdb flat 3 years ago before the new rule about overseas property ownership came up..im just wondering if i were to buy a property overseas under my name now, will that have any affect to my hdb flat that im staying now?

Hi there,

You will need to satisfy your Minimum occupation period before buying overseas properties, so in a way, the answer is yes, its affected.

Afternoon,

That would depends on your MOP requirement, during the time of purchase.
If you didn't take a HDB grant and loan, I don't think it would be an issue.
