1) Investment is not the only measure in terms of monetary, but time frame is also a critical factor to consider.
2) Next is the ease of exit, local political stability, average GDP of the population, etc are the other factors we need to look into when come to consider whether the country's property is worth investing in.
3) Just take an example of Japan, current Japan welcomes all types of foreign investment including property investment. But when looking into the detail, you will realize that Japan property has not been appreciated for the past 30 years. What is the chance it will appreciate in the next 5 years?
4) There are also gurus encourage to invest in Thailand. But if you are aware that the local in Thailand does not favor high rise condo because of the policy and cost in Thailand. You might need to consider it again.
5) Singapore property has been appreciating for 17 years with 3 dips in the last 20 years. What is the chance of not gaining from property investing in Singapore?
6) Having said that, you have to understand not only the general trend, you have to look into each project, the unit in the project before you bet your money on it.

Dear Buyer,
The best investment condos are in SG. Why? Because, our population is growing all the time. Land is also scarce in SG compared to the rest of the world. As such, the prices will always keeping going up much like in Hong Kong.

Labour cost is going up. Material cost is also going up. With everything going up in the future, we cannot live in denial that condo prices will never increase in value.

The GREATER SOUTHERN WATERFRON is the biggest single development masterstroke that the SG govt has come up with. So, for the next 40 years and possibly more, the southern region will be growing by leaps and bounds. The condos in and around this stretch will sky rocket in price as they are developed with each new one being more expensive than the one before. So, if you are first mover here, it will be boom town Charlie!
