Hi,

I am a recently converted SPR married to a SC and am looking to buy a HDB property, however I have an overseas property purchased in 2014 still under mortgage. As per rules, I understand

1. SC + SPR can go for BTO, but in that case the private property has to be disposed and 30 month waiting period applies

2. Resale BTO can be purchased with the 6 month grace period for disposing of the private property

I read that HDB allows for an appeal for holding on to the overseas property in case of extenuating financial circumstances. Can any of the gurus experienced in the appeal process please elaborate on this option?

Regards

All appeal cases are reviewed on a case by case basis therefore it is in your interest to speak to HDB on the appeal case prior to commencing on your home search.
