Hi I am a Singapore PR living with my parents. I have bought an HDB flat with my wife as co-owner which completes the family nucleus. My parents on LSVP also plan live with me for some time. They own a property overseas. My questions are 1) Is it necessary for them to be added as occupiers? 2) Can I add them as occupiers inspite of their overseas property? 3) If I dont add them will HDB spot checks cause any issues? Thanks.

Afternoon,

If you parents are under long term social visit pass, they are allowed to stay with you. HDB will not interfere and do not require you to add them as occupier. However, it's your duty to ensure that their Visitor's pass stay valid and inform ICA about their stay at your residency.
