Regarding Single Applicants and 2-Room Flexi Flats:
Current Situation:

You are a single Singaporean divorcee with no children. Unfortunately, under current regulations, single applicants are not eligible to purchase a new 2-Room Flexi BTO flat.

HFE Letter:

An HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter only provides information about your eligibility to buy a flat based on current policies. It cannot be used to circumvent existing eligibility requirements.

Seeking Help from MP:

While your MP can raise awareness or advocate for policy changes, it's unlikely they can grant you a special exemption to purchase a 2-Room Flexi flat as a single applicant.> but still harmless to try > at least got some chances when you try .

What is the reason for being rejected to purchase a BTO flat alone even if it is 2 room HDB? Is it because of your age where you are under 35 years old? Anyway, as long as you are rejected, you have every right to put in an appeal, whether you are seeking MP's help or not, but that does not mean that your appeal will be granted with positive results.

Hi i am a Singaporean single divorce without any children. I sold my 1st flat purchase from via BTO and later when i am checking for 2 room flexi, i found out that i am not allowed to purchase any new BTO flat alone.
Can i use the HFE letter to seek help from MP to allow me to purchase a BTO 2 room flex?

1) As of current HDB policy, a single divorced not reaching 35 years old without child(ren) is not eligible to purchase a BTO 2-room flat.
