Hi,

i bought a HDB flat on the resale market recently,

signed out 1st appt,

when it came to scheduled 2nd appt, the seller said he needs an extension of 10 days. so it was rescheduled.

at the 3rd appt, seller say he wants to call off the deal and refused to sell.

according to the law, i gave him an option of a 21day notice.

however, he make known to us verbally that he is a bankrupt, which i dunno how true it is.

can i ask, after this 21 days, what if he refuses to sell the flat still, what can i do, and what are the claims and penalties i can press on him, and if he REALLY is a bankrupt and has no ability to compensate, what can i do?!

please advice!

Morning Kea,

Why don't you ask your agent to assist you with the necessary? Like checking things out on his credit status, talking to your seller's OA, trying to sort things out.
THe OA will be more than interested to make the seller sell his unit, so as to pay off the debts that he might owe.
