Hi,

1) Legally you are the sole owner of this current private condo.
2) No consent from anyone is required on what you intend to do with it.
3) In fact, the rule used in the HDB flat where an essential occupier's consent is needed is to protect the weaker party. So that the weaker party has at least a roof over its head when the current HDB flat is sold.
4) The weaker party has an option not to agree to the sale when they are afraid that he/she does not have a roof over their heads after the sale.
5) This rule does not apply to private condos, the main reason was it is perceived that those who are able to afford to stay in private property have a better capability to protect themselves and do not need the intervention from the govt.
