Hi,
I rent a room and live with the landlord and his family. My tenancy agreement is minimum of 3 month stay and expired last October 2014. It also specifies that One month notice is required by either party who wish to extend or terminate this agreement after minimum occupation of three months.
I have already verbally advised my landlord and his wife on 17th May that I will be leaving the premises on 19th June. Do I need to provide a written notice ? Can I give them a written notice now confirming that I advised them on 17 th may of my intention to leave on 19 th June?
Is verbal notice legally binding?
The agreement only mentioned one month notice not written notice ... Anyways is the agreement void anyway because I have already served my 3 month minimum stay?
