Hi I want to ask my husband and I just merried and I'm long-term pass my husband is Singaporean but now is already 55 there's any option for us to buy hdb this time his second time to buy hdb the first one his ex widrow his name. Thanks sincerely Lisa.

Hi mahal ko,

It is possible to purchase under the non-citizen spouse scheme, but importantly since your husband is 55 years old, where CPF funds usage can be restricted, it will be important to do a proper financial assessment before moving ahead.

Hi Lisa,

1) It is really the time to settle down with a house of your own.
2) Your husband is eligible to buy with you under the Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme even if he had bought a flat in the past.
3) If the previous flat bought was not a BTO or resale flat with the grants, he may also apply for the single citizen grant of $25k in assisting with the purchase.
4) You may also check whether his Retirement Account (RA) fulfills the basic sum of $96k. He may utilize whatever access of $96k to pay for this purchase.
5) He is still eligible to apply for the HDB loan if he is still working. If this is the 2nd HDB loan application, he will need to come out cash to reduce the loan amount.
