Hi, I was spr and my husband is sc and we have already gotten 2 house with grants (1 resale and another 1 EC) . I am recently converted to SC. May I know if we can still apply for BTO? Thanks

Hi Ms,

I regret to inform you that if both of you had already utilized 2 times subsidy, you will not be eligible for a 3rd subsidy.

Even if you had only used 1 time subsidy, but currently own an EC, you will also not be eligible for a BTO, as after serving the 5-year MOP, your property is considered as a private property. You will not be able to apply for a BTO unless you sell off the EC and wait out for 30 months.

Having said that, I may have other options for you to consider, depending on your plans you have for your family.

Hi

Regret to inform you to be eligible for BTO, you may need to dispose off your EC and wait for a 30 months period before being eligible to apply for a BTO. Resale levy might apply since yoh have used up your first timer grant. As a newly converted citizen, you may apply for top up grant even if you did not dispose off your current EC.
