Hi,

If I were to buy a resale hdb under the singles’ scheme, must I include my spouse’s name as an occupier/owner when I got married? Am I able to hold the hdb under my sole name or will the relevant government agency be informed about my marriage status and I’ll be asked to include my spouse’s name in the flat?

Hi Ken,

1) This is under National Registry Act that your spouse's address must be updated on the ICA web.
2) You may register her as an occupier after married via MYHDB under add occupier. You are allowed to hold the HDB under your sole name.
