Hi,

Typical market rate for hdb sale is 2% of transacted price + GST. Its best to focus on how the agent can maximize your price in thus current slow market rather than on minimizing the commission possible. After all the current slowdown in the market means more effort and resources are required to secure a buyer. It is more important to find an agent who is committed and whom you can be comfortable with.

For selling, the commission is 2% + GST. In my opinion, you should focus on how the salesperson can achieve the highest selling price for you within the shortest period instead of the commission.

A good salesperson will ensure that the high selling price can help you offset the commission that you will be paying.
