Hi, in a scenario where Option To Purchase has been exercised, both Sellers and Buyers have entered into a legal binding agreement to proceed with the transaction. As HDB has already approved the resale application.

As closer to the date where the buyer and seller is to come down to HDB Hub for the completion, the buyers are a young couple who's engaged but they decided to call off the marriage. What compensation/damage can the seller claim from the seller?

The consequences could be grave, if the seller has committed to purchase another property. What is known upfront is that whatever payments received from the buyer will be forfeited. As for compensation, the claims will have to be done through a lawyer, and the details of the claims or compensation should be discussed with the lawyer as well.
