I recently almost decided to put a deposit for a 5RM flat in Woodlands. But before that, the agent said that upon completion of the transaction, that is when i get the key, I have to let the original owner stay for 2 months FREE. This, he say, is based on mutual agreement. I personally know this is not allowed by HDB and that is I charge a rent without even starting to stay there, I am fluting the law. Can I report such an agent for suggesting such illegal arrangement? I felt so cheated. A buyer with limited cash to offer is not always desperate and dumb. Please let me know what you think.
