Hi. My sis has a 4-room high-flr corner unit in Tampines. Location is good with the famous 201 central directly opposite the block and only 10 mins walk to the MRT station and malls. Besides that, the future Tampines East downtown line is just a few minutes away. We just moved here in Oct 10 and is it a better choice to sell the unit or sublet the whole flat to earn rental which we can do so by next Sep? The reason for selling the unit is because I need to use my sister's name to qualify to buy a DBSS/EC or maybe a private condo. Appreciate any views on this, thanks

Evening Eisha,

Your MOP should be 3 years, hence you should be able to sell in Sep 2013.
To purchase DBSS, EC or condo, does both of you require the fundings from the sales of your Tampines unit? If without the funding, how much does you guys have in hand?
Having this particular issue worked out, you should be able to see the light up ahead.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
