If you have signed a legal contract where you are covered for such changes, the landlord cannot change his mind, nevertheless, in practical situations, if such scenario does arise, I can only say it makes the whole shifting process very unhappy and not off to a good start as well as non-cordial relationship with the landlord may make things inconvenience moving forward.

I always believe that a family home should be a happy place therefore would it make sense to reassess your options? In addition, would it make sense if you have gotten yourself a salesperson where they can iron such things out for you in looking after your interest by paying a small professional fees?
