Hi, what's the general reception like if someone approaches an agency and mentions that he/she would like do be a part time property agent, at least for the moment.
Would he/she be given the same amount of support/help compared to one that is doing full time?

I assume you have passed your RES exams. In this industry, some will kick start their RES journey as part time and may switch to full time later or remain part time, which is normal.
Before deciding which agency & mentor to join, I strongly urge you to arrange 1-1 meet up with your potential mentor to understand the mentor's supports and the agency's supports, eg training road map and sharing culture of the agency.

Hi,

1) My Personal opinion is to find a good upline that can support your career growth is more critical to the agency.
2) Although there are many training sessions available in most of the bigger agencies. But it is your upline that could tailor the training according to your character and needs.
3) The amount of support/help comes mainly from your upline and not from the agency.
4) I would suggest you look for the agents that you think can assist in your growth for a coffee session before making your final decision.

Hi there,

I am unsure if you have already made any decisions to join any agency as of now, nevertheless, I will just like to highlight that results from real estate business do not come overnight and in many cases, it can probably take months to clock in the 1st transaction, unless you have an existing network to tap into for your business. If you are handling sales transaction, we need to first prospect in the listing for sale before we put in marketing costs to effectively run a marketing campaign before reaching out to the right buyer who may make the right offer and close off the case. The completion of case will likely take place 3 months after the acceptance of offer therefore we will need some resources to tide through until the income is in. Rental is faster but do also note that there will be loose knots to attend to like defect rectifications and etc along the way.

I have known of managers who help their downlines by offering to take 50% of the commission earned so they can guide the downlines but I seriously think this is the wrong track. In fact, I have been giving free leads to my associates who are keen to learn this trade such that they can meet with real life situations in this business and learn along the way by asking questions from their encounters. If you have not already gotten into any team, I will be more than happy to work closely with you.
