Unless seller is agreeable to you backing out of the transaction, otherwise they can sue you for damages incurred due to you backing out and the consequences can be very grave. Do not take contractual agreement lightly as to thinking that you can back out just by paying some compensation. The compensation could be an amount that you cannot afford because seller may have made other plans and purchases. Read More

Hi,

Yes you are right. The only way for you to get out of it is to appeal with the seller to cancel the whole application by compensating them. Good luck.

Hi,

1) Yes, you may do so.
2) The first and most important thing you must do is to negotiate with the sellers.
3) You may only back out after the sellers agreed to your proposal.
4) I have to warn you that the sellers may sue you for any damages caused due to your change of mind because both of you are already entered a legal contractual relationship.
5) Both of you have to inform the HDB once come to an agreement after the negotiation as soon as possible.
