Do you mean $550k cash proceeds after the sale of your current HDB?
It is difficult to assess what is the best next private property for you to upgrade since
1) We do not know what is the loan amount you are eligible for
2) We do not know the type of housing you prefer and its configuration
As you have mentioned that you have the intention to sell after 5years, your next property purchase would likely be some newer projects. If you have specific preference in terms of locations, do also let me know. As schools are easily available anywhere in Singapore, which I believe most of them are decent schools, I do not foresee that this should be an obstacle in your househunting process.
