Good morning,

Only SC or SPR are eligible to be owner of resale EC that are not privatised (younger than 10 years old) thus sorry to inform you that you have to buy alone.

Unless you are looking at privatised EC, yes both of you can be owners.

1) I'm afraid you can't include your spouse as an owner in a 7yrs old EC.
2) Only SC and SPR can be an owner for an EC under 10 yrs.

You will not be able to include your spouse name as the resale EC is under 10 years old. If you wish to include her name, you may either purchase a private condo which has got no such restrictions or you may purchase under your name first and include her name subsequently after the 10 years mark.

Hi Mr. Aung

For resale EC between 5 to 10 years, only SC and SPR can be owners due to HDB regulations. Upon 10 year mark, the EC will be fully privatized and you can include the foreigner spouse as an owner.

For EC over 10years, foreigners can be owners. Meaning your foreigner spouse can be co-owner.
