Thank you for writing in.

For all HDB rentals, the owners must have met the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) before being eligible to rent out the whole flat. For cases where the MOP is not met, the owners will require approval from HDB before renting out the flat and they are approved on a case to case basis, and this period where the flat is rented out does not contribute to meeting the MOP.

Do also take note that only Singapore Citizens household is eligible to rent out their HDB if the criteria is met.

To be eligible to rent out the whole HDB flat, every owner is require to satisfy the minimum occupation period (MOP). To do this , you may check with HDB but I can easily assist you to check and advise on the market rental thereafter.

Yes once you complete the MOP, you may rent out the whole unit. To be sure, you may check with HDB. In any case, HDB approval is still needed once you had found a tenant. For more deails, please drop me an email or Whatsapp at my contact.
