Hi,
To qualify to buy HDB, both spouses cannot own any private property. In your case, you need to sell your private property and wait 30months to buy a BTO flat or 15months to buy a resale flat.

Hi,

1) The HDB policy is extermely strict over this.
2) All applicants must not own any private residential property for the past 15 months before eligible to apply for an HFE.
3) In order to be eligible for an HDB grants. All applicants not only must not exceed the $14k income ceiling, they also must not own any private residential property for the past 30 months.

Your partner will be ineligible to purchase a HDB after getting married given that you own a private residential property. Husband and wife is a family nucleus, even if the property is own by just 1 of you. FRBO Guru
Owners are not allowed to put up their properties for rent or sale on PropertyGuru. In fact they are encouraged to engage the services of agents to market their place if required especially for rental, due to the spike in scam cases for rent in recent times. Hi, unfortunately, both of you are not eligible to purchase an HDB flat while owning a private property. To become eligible, you would need to dispose of your private property and observe a waiting period of:
15 months before purchasing a resale HDB flat, or
30 months before applying for a BTO flat.

Let me provide you with some clarifications.

1. You will only be eligible for HDB grant if you sell off your private condo and observe a 30 months wait out period. For CPF housing grant, you must also satisfy the income ceiling criteria.

2. You will not be able to keep the condo if you purchase a HDB with your partner because for HDB, you will need to include your name either as an owner or essential occupier. In order to be eligible for HDB purchase, you will also need to sell the private condo and observe a 15 months wait out period before you can purchase a HDB flat.

Unfortunately, HDB has a ruling that you are not allowed to own a private then HDB together as a family nucleus.
You will need to sell away the private condo in order to buy the HDB with ur spouse to be. There will be a waiting out period of 30 months if you are intending to buy an BTO after you disposal of a private property.

If buying a resale home, then a wait out period of 15 months is applicable for applicants below age 55.

There are also criteria and restriction before one can apply a BTO/ resale HDB.

Hi

Once you get married, you guys will only be able to purchase resale HDB after a 15 month wait out period after selling the private condo. For BTO this wait out period is 30 month, assuming all other eligibility conditions fulfilled.

Definitely have to sell the private property if planning to get HDB as a married couple. If you plan to keep your condo, she can purchase another private property on her sole name basis.
