Hi,

Is your brother a Singapore Citizen, above 35 years of age?

If he's not, he is not eligible to hold onto a HDB under his sole name. He will need either you or your father's name to be co-owners to be able to own the HDB flat.

Also, if you were to renounce your PR status, and withdraw your ownership from the flat, your father and brother will need to refund all the CPF monies (plus accrued interest) that you have paid towards the flat.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Hi,

If your eldest brother is SPR as well, he can't keep the house on his sole name as there's no such eligibility scheme. Hence renouncing your PRs means you have to sell away the flat and he has to start renting. After the sale, you be able to withdraw the CPF utilized for the flat.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Afternoon,

Your brother need to be SC, above the age of 35, in order to be eligible to hold the unit under single scheme. If he is SPR and you and your father intend to renounce SPR status, he will be required to sell away the HDB unit.

Do feel free to contact me should you require additional assistance.
