I'm a landlord. My agent has left to work for another estate agency.
In my Tenancy Agreement, there is an Option to Renew clause stated as follows:
".... In the event that the Landlord should grant the Tenant an extension of the said term herein then the Landlord shall pay the agency renewal commission."
Since I have to pay the estate agency and not the agent, must I look for a new agent from the current estate agency during renewal?
If not, can I sign a new contract with my current agent with his new estate agency? This is assuming that the tenant agrees.
