I'm turning 35 in March this year, and still single. I don't think I'll be getting married any time soon, so would like to own my own property hopefully this year. Should I get a small condo (studio maybe?) or a 3-room HDB flat? What are the upfront fees involved for these? How much of compulsory cold-hard cash do I need?

Hi DanP,

In addition, there are lawyer fee and agent's commission (if buying HDB) that you need to include in your calculation.
