Recently my friend bought a HDB 3NG apartment. The agent who sold the apartment insists that even if the mortgage loan is not taken with the bank recommended by agent, agent wants the bank commission and insisted that my friend makes it clear to the bank personnel that she (the agent) was the recommender. Agent stance was this is the industry practice. Unbelievable but you could confirm please.
