I am PR and my wife is citizen, we are going to apply for LDAU to buy landed property. noticed condition below

a.you shall use the property solely for your own occupation and that of the members of your family as a dwelling house and not for rental or any other purpose;
-----------------------
does it mean I cannot rent my house even after five years?

Hi Sir,

There is no 5 years lock up period for all private properties. Only HDB has a 5-year Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) whereby the owner has to fulfill before he can sell or rent it out.

Landed housing is controlled with some restrictions from LDA. Typically, foreigners are not able to purchase landed property in Singapore (Sentosa Cove exclusive). If your Wife is the sole owner of the landed property, she will not have problems renting out the landed property.
