Hi,

I would be most glad to assist you further and please feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Have a good day ahead. By the way, a single SPR cannot own a flat and so HDB would likely ask your wife to sell it away in this case.

Good morning Sir,

Do take note that single SPR is not eligible to hold on to the property. If you wish to withdraw your SPR status, it will be good for your wife to turn SC (at least 35 years old) so she can continue to own the HDB.

If not, I am afraid that she has to sell your existing HDB after your withdrawal.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

YT Tan

Hi,

1) Seems like you intend to get a PR status in another country for you to consider moving into this withdrawal plan.
2) Your wife with a single SPR status is insufficient to be eligible to keep your current HDB flat.
3) If you have no other option but decided to move in this direction. It is best you sell your flat in the open market first before your withdrawal.
4) You might be forced to surrender back to the HDB if you withdraw your SPR status before selling it in the open market.
5) The HDB at best will only pay around 80% of the lowest valuation in the market. The HDB is not in favor to take back flats because this will become a burden to them to release them back to the market.

Hope the above answer your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
