Getting a BTO without any loan. Upon lease agreement, what kind of documents are needed for prove?

It could be the case where we do not have 500k in our bank now but after 5 years we’ll be able to afford the HDB in 100% cash payment upon keys collection. Is salary statement sufficient then? What else are needed?

Thanks!!!!!

Hi,

1) The timeline of the purchasing process is illustrated on the HDB website:
https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/new/buying-process/timeline
2) You can see that you have to provide an HLE upon booking, 4 months later you have to submit a letter of offer when signing the agreement for lease.
3) thus don't be surprised you will have to pay full in cash at the point of signing the S&P, about 4~5 yrs before key collection. So document for proving but present the cash.
4) If you do not have sufficient funds in cash, you will have to apply for a loan to make up the difference.
5) Do note that if you want to take advantage of the low-interest rate from the financial institute, there is a minimum sum of $100k, to begin with.
