Hello, i would like to know your thoughts about what recently happened to us (tenants). We signed a 3-year lease contract and while we are in the contract, the landlord (according to the agent) is selling the house. Apparently, we later realized that the unit was listed to be rented off at 62% higher than what we are paying. Though we never had time to look into this earlier we just anyway went on to just brush it off and leave to find new place. We reinstated the place, cleaned it and viola! The listing appeared in prop guru. Soo the question is or for some thoughts, in this kind of scenario, are the tenants supposed to be compensated for landlord did not comply with contract and ended the contract in the basis of "selling" but is actually "relisting" it for a higher price?

The agent you have indicated in this post is your agent or owner's agent? If the property is a private residential property and there is no provision for premature termination clause in the tenancy agreement, the property should be sold with existing tenancy unless both seller and the tenant mutually agree to terminate the lease prior expiry, with the terms and conditions of the premature termination if applicable.

In this case, if you did not exercise your rights as a tenant and agreed to move out and reinstate the place back then due to ignorance, I feel that it is too late to claim for compensation now, but do speak with a legal professional if you intend to take further actions.
