Hello, We want to clarify a couple of scenario on our Eligibility study for a resale HDB flat, as a SPR family.
1. My elder kid and I will complete 3 years as SPR, in NOV2025.
2. My wife is a SPR for a longer period now, and she jointly owns a Private residential unit with her parent, in INDIA for 8 years now. We are looking for clarifications on the following :
Question 1 : Is her "joint ownership"(50%) is considered as an 'Interest in Foreign property' and marks us ineligible to buy a Resale HDB flat ? If so, does transferring her ownership completely to her parent is considered as "dispose" action and adds the 15months/30 months waiting period to our eligibility ? Any suggestions, if an exception request be made to HDB for the same ?
Question 2: As mentioned in the HDB's eligibility article that all Occupants must be SPR for at-least 3 years. Is this applicable for SPR kids below 3 years old too ?
