Hi! All,
I need some advice if you ever come across such situation.
Does Singapore have any cooling off period for Rental agreement like we have 7 or 10 days for sales?
Recently I signed a rental agreement with 1 house owner directly and paid 1 month rent as deposit.
Later I thought about contract I signed and decided not to go for that unit.
I called him back to cancel the agreement, after some discussion he agreed to pay back once he find another tenant.
It has wasted 2 days to do that and he has 17 days to find another tenant.

Signed Agreement: 11th Dec' 10
Called to cancel agreement: 13th Dec' 10
Lease start: 1st Jan' 11

It has been 15 days now he did not paid my deposit back.
What can be the best solution to get back my deposit?

Hi! Keith, i am not sure what to call it the Header is Tenancey Agreement.
it is 3 pages with those stardard rules and 4th page for the occupants particuler with we kept empty at that time.
No stamping done, and just y'day i called that owner again and found he dont even have HDB approval. that is the main reason i changed my mind.
