Hi, could you please help me with a couple of answers that I'm in doubt. I'm hoping to sell my landed freehold 30 year old property soon.
Questions
Should I appoint an exclusive agent as I was hoping to appoint 2 agents. If I have 2 agents marketing my property, does that mean I have to sign 2 Agency Agreements? I guess this Agreement is the standard template provided by the CEA. If yes, can I add on any clauses to this standard Agreement, like to sell the property within 2 months of signing? Is this clause in the standard template? If I find the Sales person is not effective, can I terminate this agreement with verbal notification and should this be spelt out when I sign this Agreement? Please advise whether I could back out without any obligations?
When is the right time to appoint my conveyancing lawyer ? Do I need to source the lawyer in advance before I sell my property and have I to engage the lawyer in advance of the sale?
