First of all, all the best to your upcoming exams!
Basically joining an agency is very easy. You just need to sign the CEA application form as well as the agency's associate agreement, then the agency will submit your application to CEA. About 4-6 weeks later, you will be able to get your license and you can start your career as a real estate salesperson!
The difficult part here is not the steps and procedures in signing up with an agency but it is finding the right mentor/manager to join. Being a rookie in the industry, your mentor is very important to you and he/she will be the one determining your learning curve. Of course subsequently the tools, platforms and support that the group and teh agency gives, will also assist you to earn your bucks faster.
What I will suggest is that you can meet up with a few managers and see who you feel most comfortable with before you make your decision. I would also love to have a chat with you over a coffee and I can also share a little more with you about the industry. During my sharing, I am not here to tell you how rosy this industry is, because the truth is, it is tough. It is not a bed of roses but if you do the right things and tread on the right path, your rewards are limitless. I will be sharing with you real concerns and challenges realtors faces. The reason for doing so is because I want you to enter the industry, fully knowing what is in store and knowing what to expect. Only as such, then you will be able to succeed in this business.
