Hi

I would like to know, if I am buying a HDB flat with out representing agent from my side (meaning i do my own search of flats via paper or web and contacting seller agent), what is the standard commission that i need to pay seller agent for settleing the paper work between me and seller? is this negotiatable?
reason for asking this because i am sort of cash, the standard 1% seems tall to me.

Hi Mr. Goh,

You can always negotiate with the seller agent. However the standard is still at 1% for buyer. In this case, you might as well engage an agent from the start and let agent do all the work for you, arrange viewing, searching for your dream home and get all paperworks done for you.
