Hi, my mum owned our current 3 room flat bought in 1980. After she transferred the flat to my sister, my brother bought a bto 4 room flat with her but she is listed as an occupier and my brother paid the bto out of his CPF. May I know if my mum is allowed to buy another bto as she is an occupier in my brother’s bto? If so, what type of bto can she buy and how soon can she buy ?

Hi, this depends on whether your mother is listed as an essential occupier in the bto application with your brother. Another thing to consider is what scheme is she eligible for, if she is single, there are limited units she can opt for. If she is not an essential occupier, you can check on what she can buy and what grants she is eligible for by applying for an HFE.
