Hi, SC mum 50yrs old and SC daughter 28yrs old can buy a resale HDB in singapore? If SC mum bought & sold a HDB with grant before, can the duo still get any grants in this new purchase of resale HDB? If SC mum bought & sold HDB without taking grants, can the duo get any grants in time round? Thanks!

Hi,

1) SC Mum + SC daughter is eligible under the Public Scheme for both BTO & resale HDB.
2) Only 1st timer married couples are eligible for the Family grant.
3) Therefore, there are no grants available under such a situation.
4) This has nothing to do with whether or not your mum received any subsidies before.
5) Unless She can purchase the flat by herself under Single Citizen Scheme, meaning she must be either divorced or widowed.
6) Under SCS she will be eligible for the single grant of $25k + EHG.
7) In such a scheme you will only be listed as an occupier. In this case, you will not be able to utilize your CPF paying for the purchase.

Hi Ms,

Yes, you do qualify to purchase under Public Scheme.

If the Mother's first flat is under Grant, there will no longer be any grants for the next purchase.

If the Mother's flat is a non-subsidised flat, you will be entitled to CPF Housing Grant and EHG, provided you meet all the eligibility conditions.

PHG is not applicable for both the above scenarios, unless the Daughter is Single aged 35 and above.
