I have bought a HDB with my ex and now I'm the only owner with my kids as Applicant. Would like to ask as I am planning to upgrade to a 4 room flat.

I have a partner whom is a pr, that plans to get married (hopefully). Since at that point he's not in the picture during my application during the purchasing of the upgrade resale flat, can I not input him in as occupier or owner? As I am aware that before mop 5 years, he have to sell away all the overseas properties.

Can I do that since he's not the one paying?

I believe that taking 1 step at a time will be more prudent, meaning you should apply for HFE first with your children as the occupiers where you are able to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Move on with the upgrade and then consider getting married and if HDB is still under MOP, you may wish to appeal to HDB to allow your partner to retain the existing properties overseas. Otherwise, if you marry after fulfilling the MOP, then it should be pretty straightforward.

Hi, you can firstly apply for an HFE with your child first. This is possible as you are currently not legally married to your spouse, and proceed from there.

You may have to appeal for him to keep his overseas property if you guys get married within the MOP period.
