I rented a condo unit, and few month later I asking the landlord to increasing the occupancy lord to 8 occupancy. Possible the landlord asking to increasing the rent as the same time. But before that we already sign the tenancy agreement with the landlord.

Hi, when you request for an increase of pax in the unit to 8, there is already a change in the tenancy agreement, so the landlord can also agree to it subject to a change in rental.

If you are currently planning to go on a property journey selling/buying/renting/investing, I can be of assistance. Do feel free to reach out to me for more queries and assistance.

Existing Tenancy Agreement:

The signed tenancy agreement between you and the landlord is the primary document governing your rental terms.
It likely specifies the original agreed-upon number of occupants.
Landlord's Consent for Increased Occupancy:

If you want to increase the occupancy beyond what's stated in the agreement, you'll need the landlord's written consent.
Rent Increase Negotiation:

The landlord can propose a rent increase in exchange for allowing more occupants. This is a negotiation point, and you're not obligated to accept their proposed amount.
REASON: THE CHANCES OF 8 PAX LIVING THE HOUSE HAS GREATER RISK OF " SPOILIING" THE HOUSE LOGICALLY COMPARED TO 6 PAX. :)

Hi,

There is no right or wrong answer here as it be all subjected to negotiation between you and the landlord. And not forgetting that in the first place, you don’t have 8 pax when you first sign on the LOI and so the landlord is not wrong nor unreasonable too.

Hi,

Yes it is possible. If you're not agreeable with the rent increase, Landlord can also not agree to increase your occupancy to 8 pax, as it wasn't stated to allow 8 pax to stay when the agreement was signed.
