In my opinion, regardless of exclusive or not, a deserving salesperson should be commanding at least 2% commission for the hardwork and/or risk undertaken in marketing a property. In appointing an exclusive salesperson, it is always important to assess what will be done to market your property to achieve its highest possible price maximising your interests as a seller, instead of looking at 1% commission or 2% commission, which I think is short sighted.
